The Arbor Gallery in downtown Merced is welcoming back artist Wendy Bright.
Bright was a member of Arbor Gallery from 2003 to 2010. She is a multi-talented artist and the current Artist of the Month at the galley located inside the Merced Multicultural Arts Center.
“I have always had a love of art, color, and texture,” Bright says. “I began painting in watercolor; I love the “flow” of the paint on paper and the challenge of that medium. I am self-taught when it comes to painting murals. I find it exciting to see a large wall come to life with color. Most recently I have been exploring oil painting, and I love the rich color that can be achieved with the oils.”
Locally her art can be seen in Arbor Gallery and her murals at the Merced County Fair Grounds, Vista Ranch Merced, Le Grand Library, Le Grand High School, and Plainsburg Elementary School.
Arbor Gallery is a co-op gallery run by local artists: Jackie Anderson, Julia Boothe, Wendy Bright, Laura Eckman, Leslie Frazier, John Harrell, Tonia Hemme, Carole Kamerer, Donna Wayman- Maurer, Pope Lawrence, Karen McComb, Stephanie McLeod, Ethel Nelson, Lori Nelson, Eileen Partlow, Susan Regert, Rose Tripp, Penny Waha, and Denice Woyski
