89 local residents have died from virus; 337 new confirmed cases since yesterday

 

Today, the Merced County Department of Public Health confirmed 15 additional deaths related to COVID-19.

Please note: 11 of the 15 were prior deaths that were not previously reported due to delays with the State reporting system.

• As of 3:30 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2020, there are 6,561 confirmed cases (+337 from Wednesday) of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) in Merced County. Approximately 2,499 of those cases are active, and 89 have died.

 

• As of Aug. 13, a total of 33,400 tests have been performed in Merced County: 6,561 of those tests are confirmed as positive cases.

In California, there are 594,442 confirmed cases and 10,810 deaths.
