Well aren’t you all in for a fun treat!
Kreepy Kawaii is hosting their second annual Halloween Art Show next Friday, Oct. 29, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., inside the gallery at 1731 Canal Street in Downtown Merced.
The spooky art show will be hosting 35 artists and will feature over 45 Halloween themed art pieces.
“A majority of artists are local and I am very excited that we received artwork from as far as Ohio this year,” said Patricia Pratt, owner of Kreepy Kawaii. “The popularity of the Halloween-themed show has grown since last year with submissions by residents, UC and Merced College students, and the EC artists at the MAC.”
Pratt began taking submissions for artwork throughout September until early October. Dropoffs began Oct. 13.
The Halloween celebration will also be hosting two vendors, Dreas Kitchen and The Sad Babes Club, and attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and masks as they view the art gallery inside the building.
“Guests who wear a costume will be entered in a raffle for artwork,” she mentioned. “The first 20 children will receive a special treat bag and our vendor Drea’s Kitchen will be selling treats throughout the nights.”
Limited edition haunted Merced T-Shirts and prints will be available for purchase at the event.
Kreepy Kawaii promises a night full of special treats at its second annual art show.
“I hope everyone comes out to enjoy themselves and support artists in our community,” Patty said. “This is a free event for all ages.”
