Large crowds of pet supporters — and many dog owners with their best buddies — showed up for the annual Woofstock Festival last Saturday at the Merced County Fairgrounds.
The 60s-themed vendor fair and food truck extravaganza is an annual fundraiser for New Beginnings, a local animal rescue that saves over 5,000 dogs and cats each year.
Hundreds of guests, at any given time of the daylong event, were treated to entertainment, games, some 70 vendors selling a variety of great items, and a whole line of food trucks with incredible offerings.
There was a dog picture contest, training classes, and gift baskets and homemade pies for purchase, and attractive raffle items, among many other things.
